Another Toys for Tots distribution day is scheduled for this week
Toys for Tots will hold another distribution day this week in Stephens County.
That’s according to local Toys for Tots Coordinator Don Alexander.
He says parents who have requested toys for their children can pick them up on Wednesday, October 30, at the Toys for Tots warehouse.
Distribution begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.
The Toys for Tots warehouse is located on Whitman Street, in Toccoa, behind Mt. Zion Church.
The Toys for Tots campaign officially got underway October 1, and Alexander says they have already received a number of requests.
He says parents or guardians who still need to sign up, can do so through the Toys for Tots’ online system.
Parents or guardians needing toys can go online to www.toysfortots.org and click on Request for Toys.
Alexander says users simply need to follow the instructions online.
If you are unable to pick up your toys this Wednesday, the next distribution day will be on Wednesday, November 13.
Alexander says anyone interested in donating toys or making a donation to the Toys for Tots campaign, can drop donations off with volunteers on Saturdays in November and December at the Toccoa Wal-Mart.
Monetary donations are also accepted.
He says that money is used to purchase Christmas gifts for older children up to age 15.
Again, low-income families can go online to www.toysfortots.org to request toys for children for Christmas.
