Annual Stuff the Bus 5k slated for Nov. 17

The Toccoa Rotary Club is hosting its annual Stuff the Bus 5k run/walk Saturday, Nov. 17.

The Toccoa Rotary Club’s goal for “Stuff the Bus” is to collect food to distribute to local residents.

Leon Womack, Rotary Club member and event organizer, told WNEG News about the event.

“The run/walk starts and finishes at Boyd Field, located at 338 N. Pond St. in Toccoa, and is a USATF certified course and a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier,” Womack said.

Again, your time on this course, can be used to secure a closer starting spot in the Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

The cost to participate is $25 and two cans of food per runner.

Womack said that proceeds raised will fund Rotary projects throughout the community.

He adds that the course is fast and easy.

Again, the race is slated for Saturday, November 17, with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m. and the race starting at 8:00 a.m.

All runners and walkers are welcome.
