Annual Red Rage Pep Rally on Thursday, Aug. 6th

By Ken Brady

It’s time for the Annual Red Rage Pep Rally, which ushers in another Stephens County Indians Football Season.  It will be held this Thursday night at the Stephens County High School Football Field beginning at 6 p.m. Senior members of the Indian cheerleaders, football team, marching band, and auxiliary will be introduced, as well as all the SCHS fall sports teams. The Stephens County Middle School fall sports teams will also be recognized. Stephens County High School Cheerleading Coach Kaitlan Prince says it is an exciting event to start the fall sports season.

“So, as always, Red Rage will be our community pep rally that we do. It’s this Thursday at 6 o’clock, and we’ll be recognizing all of our fall sports. We’ll announce the coaching staff for each of the sports as well as their seniors. We’re also going to recognize the middle school fall sports, just as like a kick-off to school and a kick-off to the sports season.”

The Indians football team will host the Seneca Bobcats at The Reservation on Friday, August 14, for their pre-season scrimmage game. Then the Indians will open up the season on the road at Gilmer County on Friday, August 21, with kick-off at 7:30 p.m. Once again this season, 93.1 FM & AM 630 WNEG will be your home for Stephens County Indians football games.
