Advance Voting starts today in Stephens County

Advance Voting starts today in Stephens County for the upcoming General Runoff Election.

The Advance Voting Period will be held in the Historic Stephens County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday, December 2.

There will not be a Saturday for early voting.

Residents wishing to vote by absentee ballot, today is the final day to request an absentee ballot application.

Election Day voting, on December 6, will again be held at the Stephens County Senior Center and the Stephens County Recreation Department Gym adjacent to the Senior Center.

There is only one race on the ballot for United States Senate with Republican Herschel Junior Walker vying against Incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock.

Additionally, there has been confusion surrounding who is eligible to vote in a runoff election. Anyone who is registered to vote in Georgia can vote in state, local and federal runoff elections. Even if you did not vote in the general election, you could vote in the runoff.

Again, the advance voting period for the runoff election starts today in Stephens County.
