Additional warrants issued for string of check forgeries in Toccoa

Warrants have been issued for three more Toccoa residents in connection to the string of check forgeries WNEG News told you about on Tuesday.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, while following up on several forgeries, officers were contacted by the Race Way Station, on Big A Road, in reference to three counterfeit checks.

Mize says the counterfeit checks were from local businesses in the area. Two were forged from Carry-On Trailers in Lavonia, and the other was from M&J’s Restaurant in Toccoa.

The checks were printed without the knowledge of the businesses and each had fake account numbers.

According to Mize, warrants have been issued for 52-year-old Roy Gene Wilson, 33-year-old Abigail Neale, and 44-year-old Leland Raley, all of Toccoa.

The trio face charges for 4th Degree Forgery.
