8th Grade Lady Rebels Pick Up Win

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels 8th grade girls basketball team picked up their third win of the season Tuesday night, but the other Rebels teams did not fare as well.

The SCMS 8th grade girls won a tight game over Hart County 29-27. Constance Brown led the Lady Rebels with 8 points, Makiya Knox added 7, Myllazia Pope 5, Kiara Lopez 4, My’ Angel Carter and Cierra Howard 2 each, and 1 point from Ella Oldham.

The Rebels 8th grade boys fell for just the third time the season as Hart County rolled to a 48-25 victory. AJ Russell, Cameron Lacey, Corey Richey, Aaron Scott had 5 points each, Ben Stowe & Evan Dumaine had 2 each, and Rhett Tankersley added a point. The Rebels 8th grade boys are now 10-3 on the season.

The Rebels 7th grade boys fell to Hart County 56-40.

Javin Gordon led Stephens County with a game high 20 points, and  Ethan Smith added 6 for the Rebels.
Jashon Gaines led Hart County with 15 points. The Rebels 7th grade boys are now 6-7 on the season.

The 7th grade Lady Rebels also dropped their contest with Hart County and now have a record of 5-8.

The SCMS boys close out the regular season when they travel to Habersham County today. The SCMS Girls will host Habersham today.
