8 Indian wrestlers place at sectional tournament
The Stephens County Indian wrestling team had 8 wrestlers place at the sectional wrestling tournament held this past Saturday at West Laurens. They will be competing in the GHSA state tournament this week in Macon.
- Athena Malek (girls division) 1st;
- McKayla Adams (girls division) 2nd;
- Chris Whisent 3rd @ 120 pounds;
- Nikko Beady 3rd @ 145 pounds;
- Trey Blackwell 7th @ 160 pounds;
- Bailey McKee 7th @ 182 pounds;
- Tyler Fulbright–Alternate @ 170 pounds;
- Josh Smallwood–Alternate @ heavy weight.
