Former Indian Standout Returns to SCHS as Head Baseball Coach
Stephens County High School hosted a “Meet & Greet” to introduce the new head baseball coach Thursday night at the high school baseball field.
Dacen Cash has been hired to replace Greg McCall, who recently retired from that position.
Cash, who is a 2010 Stephens County graduate, comes to the Indians after serving seven years as assistant baseball coach at North Hall High School under Trevor Flow, a former Indian head baseball coach.
While at North Hall, the baseball team won several region titles and won the state championship in 2021.
As a Stephens County High School athlete, Cash played shortstop and was lead-off hitter in baseball, as well as a two-year starter at quarterback for the football team.
WNEG Sports asked Coach Cash why he decided to come back to Stephens County.
Cash says he will encourage youth to play baseball at an early age like he did in Toccoa Little League.
High School Athletic Director Chuck King says he is glad to bring Dacen Cash back to Stephens County.
