5th Grade Academy holds Title 1 Wax Museum Family Night

The Stephens County 5th Grade Academy held a Title 1 Wax Museum Family Night on Thursday, March 13. This was an exciting way to bring history to life, explains Andrea Dalrymple, History Teacher at the Fifth Grade Academy.

Title I is the largest federally funded program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, money is given to school districts based on the number of low-income families in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children most in need of educational help. The focus of the Title I program is on helping all students meet the same high standards and expectations. Students also got to see a classic car, says Dalrymple.

Dalrymple says this was not a fundraiser, but rather a celebration.

Dalrymple and fellow history teacher Melody Housley hosted the Title 1 Wax Museum Family Night at the Stephens County 5th Grade Academy.
