5 Toccoa residents charged after Domestic Violence Call

Five Toccoa residents face charges after a physical domestic call came in to the Toccoa Police Department.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on February 15, around 5:00 p.m. officers responded to Falls Park Apartments in reference to a physical domestic in progress.

He says contact was made with Jameita Cowles and Kevin Washington.

Washington was bleeding from his head and told officers there was a fight.

According to Mize, Cowles told officers that she and Washington had come to talk to Roman Arthur and Montoya Dooley after getting into an argument over the phone.

Cowles also stated that when they went inside, Arthur threatened Washington with a knife and Dooley started to fight with Washington.

She adds that Dooley then struck Washington over the head with an object.

One of the witnesses on scene, James Feaster, 52, of Toccoa, had a warrant out of Jackson County and was arrested on scene.

Kevin Washington, 35, of Toccoa, was charged with Aggravated Battery and Affray.

Jameita Cowles, 30, of Toccoa, was charged with Affray.

Roman Arthur, 29, of Toccoa, was charged with Aggravated Battery and was transported to Stephens County Jail.

Montoya Dooley was charged with Affray.
