Rain Moves Up Lady Indians Softball Double Header to This Afternoon

The Lady Indians Quad-A playoff softball game originally scheduled for Wednesday has been moved up to this afternoon.

Forecasted rain from Michael on Thursday prompted officials to make the change to this afternoon.

This season, the Lady Indians Softball team is hoping for a repeat performance when they represent Region-8 as the #3 seed again in the Quad-A State Playoffs, and will be on the road in the first round at Central of Carrollton. The best of three series is now scheduled to begin Tuesday due to impending weather.

Madison County defeated Oconee County 11-2 on Thursday to take the Region title. The Lady Red Raiders are the Region’s #1 seed and will host Cedartown in the first round. Oconee County is the Region’s #2 seed and will host Lagrange. North Oconee, the Region’s #4 seed, will travel to Chapel Hill.

Again, The Lady Indians Softball double header playoff game will take place this afternoon from Central of Carrollton at 4:15p with the first pitch at 4:30p.
