3 arrested in I-85 drug bust

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas has reported yet another drug arrest involving a vehicle on Interstate 85.

According to the report, the three occupants in the vehicle were all arrested with two having warrants for their arrest out of South Carolina.

On July 11, a Franklin County deputy stopped a 2001 F-150 for a traffic violation on I-85.

Thomas said there were three occupants inside the vehicle.

According to reports, David Horsman, was driving the vehicle.

Jamie Harvell and Amber Carroll were Horsman’s passengers.

After collecting each of their license, the deputy conducted a status check, which revealed Horsman to be driving under a suspended license.

Harvell and Carroll each had active warrants out of South Carolina.

The deputy then searched the vehicle and located numerous weighing scales, two handguns—one of which was stolen—20 grams of methamphetamine in crystal form and methamphetamine in liquid form along with less than an ounce of marijuana.

All three were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, misdemeanor marijuana possession, possession of drug-related objects and traffic violations.

All three subjects are currently housed in the Franklin County Detention Center.
