Wilbros Civil Hearing Continued

A hearing will not take place on Friday in the Wilbros civil suit case as was originally scheduled.

Stephens County Attorney Brian Ranck said that Judge Robert Adamson has issued a continuance in the case because of a personal matter involving one of the attorneys in the case.

The hearing has not been re-scheduled at this time.

Attorneys for both sides were scheduled to appear in court in order to handle a number of motions in relation to the civil suit case.

Ranck said the hearing is on a motion filed by attorneys for Wilbros and other defendants for summary judgment, as well as on pending discovery motions.

Also, attorneys for Wilbros and the other defendants are trying to get Joe Wilbanks and other entities besides Wilbros dismissed from the lawsuit and have filed a motion to do that.

Stephens County government and other entities are suing Wilbros, along with Joe Wilbanks, Environmental Resource Concepts, LLC and Wilcorp over the odor associated with the Rose Lane facility.
