Two Teens Killed in White Co. Wreck

Two teens are dead after a weekend automobile accident in White County, according to media reports.

Accessnorthga.com reported that the two teens, both of Cleveland, were killed in an accident on Gene Nix Road.

That is west of Cleveland.

The Georgia State Patrol post in Gainesville told accessnorthga.com that troopers are not sure when the wreck happened, but said it was discovered and reported by a passerby at 10:13 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the report from accessnorthga.com, the teens’ car was traveling north on Gene Nix Road when it traveled off the side of the roadway at a bridge and went over the bridge rail and into Town Creek, striking nose first, overturning, and sinking.

Troopers told accessnorthga.com that the creek at that spot was well over head high and that only the wheels of the tires of the vehicle could be seen.

Accessnorthga.com identified the driver as 18-year-old Taylor Swing of Cleveland and a female passenger as 16-year-old Cecily Hamilton of Cleveland, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
