Two North Carolina men were found guilty in Franklin County Superior Court last week on drug trafficking charges.

Jason Reno and Justin Smith both of North Carolina were found guilty of trafficking methamphetamine.

They were allegedly in possession of twice the amount of meth to charge them with trafficking and were charged with the offense after a traffic stop in Franklin County.

In addition to the meth trafficking charge, Reno was also charged with possession of less then an ounce of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain lane.

Both men were found guilty on all charges.

They were sentenced to 30 years with 10 to serve in confinement.

According to District Attorney Parks White, the presiding Judge, Tom Hodges imposed the minimum sentence allowed by law, and even asked if there was any way he could impose only probation.
