The Toccoa-Stephens County YMCA is preparing for its annual fundraising campaign.
According to YMCA CEO Robin Dake, the campaign kickoff will take place next Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Technical College.
“We are very excited about this year’s event,” said Dake. “It is called a ‘brinner,’ which means breakfast for dinner,” said Dake.
Tickets for the kickoff are $5 each.
Dake said that all of the money raised through the kick-off and through the annual campaign go to help the YMCA provide opportunities that benefit the community.
“We are able to give scholarships for all of our programs,” said Dake.
Dake said this year’s goal is $40,000. Last year, the YMCA raised about $30,000 during its annual campaign.
