The winners are in for this year’s Toccoa Scarecrow Contest.
In the judged portion of the competition, DJ’s Auto Repair won first place, the Stephens County Historic Courthouse won second place, and Sage Automotive Interiors won third place.
Meanwhile, the People’s Choice Award, determined by the public’s vote, went to the Stephens County Government Building scarecrow. People’s Choice Honorable Mention went to Good’s Furniture.
Nearly 40 scarecrows were put for this year’s contest.
Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby says the city appreciates the participation of all of the groups and businesses in this year’s contest, as well as the public’s participation in voting for their favorite scarecrow.
