Toccoa Scarecrow Contest Winners Announced

The winners are in for this year’s Toccoa Scarecrow Contest.

Main Street Toccoa announced on Monday afternoon that first place in this year’s contest went to the Toccoa Clinic Pharmacy for its scarecrow called “Caution: Prescription may cause fall fever.”

Second place went to Toccoa Elementary¬†School for its “Fall into a good book” scarecrow and third place went to the Wilbanks Smile Center for its “Fangdangler” scarecrow.

Voting in this year’s scarecrow contest closed on Monday morning, following the end of Harvest Festival Weekend in Toccoa.

People either voted online or through in-person ballots collected at Toccoa City Hall, the Stephens County Chamber of Commerce, and here at WNEG Radio.

Over 40 scarecrows were entered in this year’s fourth annual Stephens County Scarecrow Contest.

The Main Street Office said it will contact the top three winners of the contest regarding their prizes.

Main Street also thanked all of the participants for making Toccoa and Stephens County a festive community for the month of October.
