Toccoa Police, NCIS Team Announce Drug Arrest

A Toccoa man faces a drug charge after an alleged incident at a Big A Road store last week.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell, 43-year-old William David Whiten of Toccoa was arrested on Wednesday, October 2 by Mountain Judicial Circuit NCIS Drug Team agents working in conjunction with police.

Jarrell said the arrest was pursuant to the interruption of a drug transaction that was taking place in the parking lot of the Toccoa Wal-Mart that day.

According to Jarrell, Whiten is charged with one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
