Toccoa Police 1946 Police Car Recgonized

September 26, 2013

The Toccoa Police Department receives recognition for its 1946 Ford Sedan police car in a national law enforcement publication.

The vehicle recently took second place in the “Best Vintage Police Vehicle” contest in Law and Order magazine.

The nationally distributed magazine hosts a yearly police vehicle graphic design contest.

The magazine stated that judges called the sedan traditional, authentic, and vintage.

The Police Department’s 1946 Ford Sedan was purchased in 2000 and is a replica of the very first car the city of Toccoa Police Department purchased brand new.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell said he is delighted and honored to see the sedan receive this recognition from a national magazine.
