The Toccoa Planning Commission elects officers for the year ahead.

At its meeting on Thursday, the Planning Commission elected Don Pruitt as the Chair of the Toccoa Planning Commission and then elected Kinloch Dunlap as Vice-Chair of the Planning Commission.

Toccoa Planning Director Connie Tabor serves as the Planning Commission’s Recording Secretary.

The Planning Commission will also be looking to fill an unexpired term in the new year as current Planning Commission member Evan Hellenga leaves to take a spot on the Toccoa City Commission beginning on January 1.

Tabor said the city commission will be responsible for appointing someone to serve the remainder of Hellenga’s unexpired term with the Toccoa Planning Commission.

She said that would likely take place at the start of the New Year.
