July 9, 2013

BrandonLeveretteOfficials with the Georgia Lottery say a Toccoa man is a millionaire after winning an instant game recently.

According to a press release, 24-year-old Brandon Leverette won a $1 million top prize playing the instant game, “Georgia Lottery Premium.”

Lottery officials said Leverette purchased the winning ticket at a Circle M Food Shop in Lula.

Leverette said after purchasing the ticket on what he calls a “gut instinct,” he went to his truck and scratched it.

Upon seeing that he had won a million dollars, the grocery store produce manager said he “almost had a heart attack.”

He called it surreal and added that he is still pretty speechless.

Leverette said he intends to invest his winnings and also purchase a new car.
