Toccoa Jr. League Softball Falls in Regional Semis

The season is over for the Toccoa Junior League Softball All-Stars.

Toccoa lost to East Huntington, West Virginia 11-2 Tuesday in the semi-finals of the Southeast Regional Junior League Softball Tournament in Fort Myers, Florida.

Alanna Dunson and Bella Fernandez led Toccoa offensively with two hits a piece.

While Toccoa’s run ends, East Huntington, West Virginia will now move on to today’s championship game against Fort Myers, Florida, the other team to beat Toccoa in the tournament.

Fort Myers beat Honaker, Virginia 7-4 in the other semi-final on Tuesday.

Whoever wins today’s championship game will be eligible to move on to the Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington starting on August 10.
