The Toccoa Junior League Softball All-Stars come up just short in their bid to win a Southeast Regional Championship.

The Florida state champs from Tampa beat Toccoa 10-2 Wednesday in the regional tournament championship game in Fort   Myers, Florida.

Gracie Childs had two hits to lead the Toccoa offense, while Madison Massee, Alyssa Shultz, and Isabella Fernandez all pitched for Toccoa.

The loss ends the run for Toccoa, which won the Georgia state championship before making it all way to the regional final.

With the win, Florida will advance to the Junior League Softball World Series.

That starts August 11 in Kirkland, Washington.
