Toccoa High School All Class Reunion This Weekend

Toccoa High School alumni will be back in town and get together this weekend.

It is a Toccoa High School All-Class Reunion that takes place today and Saturday.

Co-organizer Elwin Northcutt said that everything gets started tonight at the Elks Lodge in Toccoa.

“Starting at 6 p.m., I would like to encourage everyone to come and attend that,” he said. “We will stay as long as people want to stay. Even if you do not have a reservation, come on out anyway. There is plenty of room, plenty of food, and plenty of good time to socialize with your classmates.”

Meanwhile, activities continue tomorrow.

Fellow co-organizer Artie Gibson Hellenga said that alumni will head out to Boyd Field in downtown Toccoa to have lunch.

“Saturday, we will meet at Boyd Field for the barbecue at 11 a.m.,” she said. “Saturday night, the individual classes have parties or dinners.”

Hellenga went on to say that they are looking forward to a great time as graduates of Toccoa High School get back together for what is a fairly regular event.

“We have a reunion every two years,” she said. “This is going to be one of our larger groups as people will attend from all over the United States.”
