Toccoa Finance Director Retiring

Toccoa Finance Director Cathy Loudermilk is retiring.

Loudermilk has announced that she will be retiring from her position later this year.

She has served as the city of Toccoa’s Finance Director since July 2012 after being moved up to Finance Director from the position of Accounting Manager.

Loudermilk said she has enjoyed her time with the city of Toccoa, and adds she plans to spend more time with her family.

Meanwhile, the Toccoa City Commission will take up the matter of Loudermilk’s replacement at its meeting later today.

Toccoa City Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. today at Toccoa City Hall.

On the agenda is consideration of confirmation of the city manager’s appointment of a new Finance Director effective November 1.

Also on the meeting agenda for today’s 5 p.m. Toccoa City Commission agenda is consideration of the ratification of a real estate purchase and sales agreement and consideration of an amended and re-stated gas supply contract.

Prior to today’s 5 p.m. meeting, Toccoa City Commissioners will hold a work session starting at 3:30 p.m., also at Toccoa City Hall.

Items on the agenda for discussion at today’s work session include discussion of the gas supply contract, a presentation regarding the city’s cemetery project, and discussion of Banks County water sales.

Today’s work session and regular meeting are both open to the public.
