Toccoa Featured on National Program

September 2, 2013

A nationally run public radio program features Toccoa on one of its segments.

The “Whad’Ya Know?” program featured Toccoa as its “Town of the Week” during one of its episodes last month.

During the segment, the program’s hosts interview someone who lives in the town about their particular town and what it is like there.

Local resident Cynthia Brown was the one the program interviewed when it came to Toccoa.

She said she was pleased to have the opportunity to help promote the area to the show’s audience.

“I was asked if I would speak and there is nothing I would rather talk about than my hometown,” said Brown.  “It was just a great time to say why I am proud of Toccoa and Stephens County.”

She said they talked about what was in Toccoa and the town’s history.

Brown said she was not familiar with the program or the feature prior to her interview.
