Toccoa Drying Out After Wet Weekend

Clearer weather is expected today after a wet weekend in northeast Georgia.

Downtown Toccoa received 2.69 inches of rain from 7 a.m. Saturday through Sunday; 1.72 inches of that fell on Sunday.  3.09 inches fell since Friday morning.

With that total, downtown Toccoa has received 29.01 inches of rain as of this morning since the start of the year.

That is way more than this time a year ago.

Last year, downtown Toccoa had only received 13.24 inches of rain as of April 29.

Downtown Toccoa did not reach 29 inches of rainfall for the calendar year until early August.

In all of 2012, downtown Toccoa received 50.05 inches of rain.
