Toccoa City Commissioners will hold a regularly scheduled meeting later today.
The city commission will meet at 5 p.m. today at Toccoa City Hall.
During the meeting, the city is expected to open bids for the replacement of natural gas facilities for the Highway 17 widening project from Scott Road to Memorial Drive. This is the northern end of the project.
Last month, city commissioners awarded a bid to Harrison Gas Systems of Toccoa for just under $187,000 for the relocation of natural gas facilities for the southern end of the Highway 17 widening project between Scott Road and the Stephens-Franklin county line.
City commissioners are also set to open bids for a cemetery truck.
In addition, the commission is scheduled to consider the abandonment of an alley behind the Schaefer Center.
The city commission meeting is open to the public.
