Toccoa Commission Meets Today

The Toccoa City Commission is expected to consider the extension of the employment agreement for Toccoa City Manager Billy Morse at their meeting later today.

City commissioners meet at 5 p.m. at Toccoa City Hall for a regularly scheduled meeting.

On the agenda, the commission is expected to consider extending Morse’s current employment agreement for another two years, through October 1, 2017.

Morse’s original agreement with the city was dated September 23, 2013.

Also on today’s meeting agenda, the city commission is expected to consider bid openings for Utilities Department work trucks and a scag industrial mower, as well as make a number of appointments to various boards and receive the monthly financial report.

The 5 p.m. meeting agenda also includes time for public comment.

Meanwhile, prior to the 5 p.m. meeting, the Toccoa City Commission is scheduled to hold a work session to cover a number of topics.

The work session is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. at Toccoa City Hall.

Items on the work session agenda include a presentation on Internet and phone services, a presentation on software, and a discussion of the housing board.

The work session is also open to the public.
