Toccoa City Commissioners will meet later today for a regularly scheduled meeting.
The city commission’s first regularly scheduled monthly meeting for November will get underway at 5 p.m. at Toccoa City Hall.
During the meeting, Toccoa City Commissioners are expected to hold public hearings on two planning-and-zoning-related requests.
The first is a request from the Toccoa First United Methodist Church to abandon Savannah Lane and a portion of an adjacent alley.
The second is a rezoning request from Habitat for Humanity for a property on Peachtree Street to change it from a Restricted Industrial District zone to a Two-Family Residential property.
Also during today’s meeting, city commissioners are expected to consider bids received for a water line relocation at Falls Road and Rock Quarry Road and open bids for renovations at the water treatment plant office.
City commissioners are also scheduled to receive the monthly financial report during today’s meeting.
Today’s 5 p.m. Toccoa City Commission meeting is open to the public.
