Toccoa City Commissioners Hold First 2017 Meeting

Toccoa City Commissioners held their first business meeting of 2017 on Monday.

During the meeting at Toccoa City Hall, the city commission ratified the selection of Jeanette Jamieson as Mayor and David Austin as Vice-Mayor for the next 12 months.

Jamieson and Austin were originally selected from among the five commissioners to serve in those roles for this year at the city commission’s last meeting in December.

City commissioners also appointed Billy Morse as City Manager for 2017, Fredda Wheeler as City Clerk, and the Rev. Paul Garrison as City Chaplain for 2017.

In addition, the commissioners were assigned to various boards on which the city commission is represented.
