Toccoa City Commission Meets Later Today

January 14, 2013

Toccoa City Commissioners will start their new year with a meeting later today.

The first regularly scheduled Toccoa City Commission meeting of 2013 is set for 5 p.m. today at Toccoa City Hall.

During the meeting, the commission is to take care of a number of appointments that are done on a yearly basis.

Also, the commission will ratify its selection of a mayor and vice-mayor from among the commissioners. At their last meeting, commissioners voted to keep David Austin as Mayor and Andy Pavliscsak as Vice-Mayor for 2013.

The city commission is also expected to award a bid for renovation of the restrooms at Henderson Falls Park, open bids for work at the Schaefer Center in downtown Toccoa, consider a request for quotes for gate and fence work at the city’s water treatment facilities, establish qualifying fees for the 2013 municipal election, and receive the monthly financial report.

Today’s Toccoa City Commission meeting is open to the public.
