Toccoa City Commissioners are scheduled to hold a work session and a regularly scheduled meeting today.
First, city commissioners are scheduled to hold a work session at 3 p.m.
Following that 3 p.m. work session, city commissioners will meet for their first regularly scheduled monthly meeting for September at 5 p.m. today.
This will be the first regularly scheduled meeting for Toccoa City Commissioners since they voted last week to fire Mike Jackson as Toccoa City Manager and announced that former Toccoa City Manager and current Franklin County Manager Billy Morse was the sole finalist to replace Jackson.
During the 5 p.m. meeting, commissioners are expected to consider a lease agreement between the city and Gunby Communications for the Meadowbrook Tower Communications Site.
In addition, commissioners are expected to receive the financial report for the fiscal year through August 31.
The meeting also allows time for public comment.
Today’s meeting and work session will both take place at Toccoa City Hall.
