Toccoa 10-11 Baseball Falls to Smyrna At States

The Toccoa 10 and 11 year old baseball All-Stars lost Sunday to Smyrna in the second game of pool play action at the state tournament in Cartersville.

Smyrna plated eight runs in the fourth inning to defeat Toccoa 10-0 in four innings.

Smyrna pitching held Toccoa to just three hits in the game by Connor King, Taylor Roach, and Hunter Puntervold.

Seth Jameson also reached base twice for Toccoa and starting pitcher Ian Rumsey pitched two strong innings for Toccoa, allowing just one run and one hit.

Toccoa will wrap up pool play Monday at at 8:30 p.m. in Cartersville against Columbus Northern Little League.
