Toccoa comes up short in all three games of a tripleheader in All-Star baseball Saturday at the Doyle Street Park.
The Toccoa 11 and 12 year old, Junior League, and Senior League baseball teams were all in action.
In the 11-12 game, Hart scored nine runs in the first inning on the way to an 11-1, four inning victory over Toccoa.
Toccoa’s only run came on a home run from Eli Wenger.
Moving to the Junior League game, Toccoa jumped out early, but Madison scored four in the fifth inning to take the lead and then pulled away to a 10-6 win to eliminate Toccoa from the Junior League Baseball tournament.
Dawson Sorrells led Toccoa with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.
Finally in the Senior League tournament opener, Toccoa had a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, but Habersham scored five runs in the sixth on just one hit to come from behind and beat Toccoa 6-2.
Dylan Murphy’s two-run double provided the only offense for Toccoa.
Both the Toccoa 11 and 12 year old and Senior League baseball teams remain alive in their district tournaments and will both play on Monday.
The Toccoa Senior League Baseball All-Stars will play Habersham again in an elimination game on Monday at 8:30 p.m. after Habersham lost to Hart on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Toccoa 11 and 12 year old baseball All-Stars will play next on Monday at 6 p.m. in an elimination game against Madison, who lost to Franklin on Sunday.
AM 630 WNEG and wnegradio.com will broadcast that game starting at 5:45 p.m.
