Three Toccoa Residents Arrested for Armed Robbery in Rabun Co.

Three Toccoa residents face charges in connection to an alleged armed robbery in Rabun County.

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office said it occurred on May 29 at about 8 pm. in the parking lot of the Clayton Wal-Mart.

Rabun County Sheriff Frank Andrews said his department arrested 26-year-old Cameron Gholston, 24-year-old Marcus Quillian, and 22-year-old Madaysha Moorer, all of Toccoa, in connection with the case, and charged the three with Armed Robbery.

Andrews said that a 27-year-old Franklin, North Carolina man called 911 and reported that the subjects allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash from him at gunpoint.

The Rabun County Sheriff went on to say that the victim then followed the suspect’s vehicle south on Georgia Highway 15 and Rabun County deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop and arrest the three suspects.

Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Jack Tanksley said the money allegedly stolen was recovered.

The case remains under investigation.
