Three Arrested In Connection With Alleged Multi-County Drug Ring

White County authorities and agents with the North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office say they have made additional arrests and dismantled a methamphetamine ring that was active in Stephens County and throughout the north Georgia region.

Authorities say that earlier this month, they arrested 37-year-old Stacy Collins, 32-year-old Jeremy Prestwood, and 28-year-old Casey Gragg, all of Cleveland, Georgia.

These three arrests came after authorities first arrested Johnny Russell Patton and Scotty Lynn Gooch, both of Cleveland, last month, in connection with the alleged drug ring.

The North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office says that Collins organized the distribution of methamphetamine through Prestwood, Gragg, and Patton.

Drug Enforcement Office agents go on to say that the organization was capable of selling multiple pounds of methamphetamine a week in Stephens, Habersham, White, and Lumpkin counties.

The arrests came after authorities served a search warrant last week at Prestwood and Gragg’s residence in Cleveland, while Collins was then arrested in Habersham County.

Collins, Prestwood, and Gragg were all charged with Trafficking of Methamphetamine. Prestwood and Gragg were also charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
