TFC Sports Update

Toccoa Falls College had a busy weekend of sports activities last weekend as part of Homecoming festivities.

First on Friday, TFC’s women’s soccer team hosted Bluefield College, losing 1-0.

With the loss, TFC drops to 6-7-1 on the year.

Meanwhile, the TFC men’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Clearwater Christian College Friday night on Homecoming at TFC.

Both the men’s and women’s programs will travel to Kentucky for a fall break trip to Berea College and Asbury University on October 17-18.

Meanwhile on the volleyball court, Toccoa Falls College topped Piedmont International University and Johnson University of Tennessee in a tri-match on Saturday as part of TFC’s homecoming weekend.

The Screaming Eagles cruised past region foe Piedmont International in straight sets.

Then later on Saturday, TFC was given a stiffer test later in the day from Johnson University of Tennessee.

The Screaming Eagles prevailed over the visiting Royals, but needed four sets to do so.

TFC won the first two sets, then lost the third set before winning the fourth set to take the match 3 sets to 1.

With the wins, TFC improves its record to 9-12 and 7-2 in region play.

Saturday’s matches also marked Senior Day for volleyball players Baoseng Vang, Rachel Morris, Rosie Buzzy, and Britney Eitutis.
