TFC Edged By Bob Jones Univ. in Women’s Soccer

The TFC women’s soccer team is wrapping up the regular season this weekend after dropping a close game earlier this week.

Toccoa Falls hosted Bob Jones University on Tuesday in an important region game.

The match between the second ranked Bruins and fourth ranked Screaming Eagles was the second time the squads have faced off this year.

In September, TFC traveled to BJU and stole a 1-0 win with a late goal.

In the rematch, the Bruins would earn their revenge with a 1-0 victory over Toccoa this past Tuesday.

The teams played to a scoreless first half with both sides having quality chances at goal.

Bob Jones finally got the key goal on a free kick in the 56th minute.

TFC drops to 7-8-1 on the year, and wraps up the regular season on Saturday as they host Laurel University on Senior Day at 3 p.m.

On October 30, the TFC women’s soccer team will travel to Clearwater Christian College in Florida for the south region tournament.

The Screaming Eagles will be the third seed and will face Clearwater in the opening round.
