TFC Basketball Update

Toccoa Falls College’s men’s basketball teams drop three games at home.

Last week, TFC lost to Warren Wilson 77-67, to Bob Jones University 80-71, and Trinity Baptist College 92-79.

Against Warren Wilson, Josh Barrett led with Eagles with a game high 20 points and against Bob Jones, Barrett finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and five steals.

Then against Trinity Baptist, Jon Sauls scored 28 points to lead the Eagles, going 7 for 15 from three-point range, while Barrett capped off a big week with 20 points, 9 assists, and 7 steals.

The Eagles of TFC host Piedmont International University today at 5 p.m. in their final contest of the first semester.

Moving to the women’s side, the TFC Lady Eagles also hosted Warren Wilson College, Bob Jones University, and Trinity Baptist College.

TFC defeated Trinity Baptist 65-61, but fell to Warren Wilson 57-48 and Bob Jones 61-46.

Jeanelle Arnold and Rachel Morris led the Lady Eagles against Warren Wilson with nine points each, while Morris led TFC against Bob Jones with 11 points.

Katie Calloway led the Lady Eagles against Trinity Baptist with 1 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles are 3-6 overall on the year, topping last year’s win total.

They were scheduled to host Piedmont College last night.  No score on that game yet.
