The Toccoa Falls College baseball team will look to extend its winning streak to nine games on Wednesday when it hosts Milligan College.
TFC won its seventh and eighth straight games Saturday when the Eagles swept Johnson University of Florida in a doubleheader to complete a three-game series sweep.
Toccoa Falls won game one of Saturday’s doubleheader 7-0 behind six shutout innings from Dylan Charles, who allowed just seven hits in picking up his 30th career win for TFC.
Then in the second game Saturday, Russ Pritchett had three hits, three runs scored, and an RBI as Toccoa Falls defeated Johnson 12-5.
The Eagles also defeated Johnson in Friday’s first game of the series 11-6 behind two home runs from Ronnie Stewart and a home run from A.J. Mussler.
Prior to the series against Johnson University of Florida, TFC hosted Reinhardt in a doubleheader last Wednesday.
Toccoa Falls swept the doubleheader.
In the first game, Justin Key hit a three-run homerun to propel the Eagles to a 4-2 win over Reinhardt.
Meanwhile, Josh Ward had three RBIs in the second game to help the Eagles edge Reinhardt 8-7.
Also last week, Toccoa Falls shutout Truett McConnell by a 6-0 score last Tuesday.
Wednesday, the Eagles will host Milligan College at 3 p.m.
