TFC Baseball Season Underway

Baseball season is underway at Toccoa Falls College.

The TFC baseball team opened its 2015 season with a three-game series at NAIA powerhouse Bryan College on January 30 and 31.

Bryan College’s Lions swept the Screaming Eagles in three games to start the season.

The Lions won the first game, 6-5, after scoring a run in the 8th inning and 9th inning to come from behind against TFC.

In Game Two on Saturday, TFC was limited to just one run on three hits in a 3-1 loss to Bryan.

Finally, TFC lost the third game, 6-3 as Bryan rattled off six unanswered runs to edge the Screaming Eagles.

For the weekend, Danny Turnbull had four RBIs over the three games to pace the Toccoa Falls offense.

Also, Tray Hill had a two-run homerun for the Screaming Eagles.

The Toccoa Falls College baseball team will look to pick up its first win of the young season in a three-game series at Southern Wesleyan University that starts Friday and continues on Saturday.

The 2015 home opener for the Screaming Eagle baseball team is February 10 at 2 p.m. against Young Harris College.
