TES Principal Retiring

March 21, 2013

One of Stephens County’s elementary school principals is calling it a career.

Tuesday, the Stephens County Board of Education accepted the retirement of Toccoa Elementary School Principal David Jacobsen at the end of the school year.

Stephens County School Superintendent Sherrie Whiten said that Jacobsen has been a tremendous asset for the school system.

“He has done a great job,” said Whiten. “He is a very caring individual and he is going to be greatly missed by staff and by students.”

Jacobsen has been principal at Toccoa Elementary School since July 2007.

According to Whiten, the school system will now move forward with finding a new principal for Toccoa Elementary School.
