The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce is issuing a scam alert to its members.
In an e-mail this week, the Chamber reported that it was notified that a company has been contacting Chamber members selling ads for a Stephens County map and saying it is for the Chamber.
According to the Chamber, the company’s name is Universal Ad Com and the Chamber says it is a scam.
Chamber officials report that they are not aware of this company and they are not affiliated with the Chamber in any way.
