Summer Movies Start At Schaefer Center Today

Toccoa is beginning its series of “Summer Movies at the Schaefer Center” today.

Today is the first movie as “Cinderella” will be shown.

Movies will be shown every Thursday through June and July.

Main Street Toccoa Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said they are excited to show a great series of movies over the course of the summer months.

“We are starting with ‘Cinderella’,” said Crosby. “We will have ‘Ant-Man,’ ‘The Peanuts Movie,’ ‘Jurassic World.’ That is just the first month, so we have got a lot of fun things going on, so we invite everybody to come down and enjoy the coolness of the Schaefer Center, the beauty.”

Admission is only $1 and concessions are only $1 each.

Crosby said that there are two show times for each movie this year.

She said movies will be shown at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. each Thursday.

“I know a lot of times over the summer months, the days get kind of long for our kids, so it would be great to bring them out for the 10 o’clock showing, but there again, we have that 7 o’clock as well,” said Crosby.

Again, Main Street is showing “Cinderella” today and tonight at the Schaefer Center.
