Stephens, Franklin Head Starts Reopening Tuesday

October 7, 2013

Head Starts in Stephens and Franklin counties are re-opening Tuesday (October 8) after being closed Monday (October 7) in a ripple effect of the government shutdown.

Both Stephens County Head Start Director Sherry Jarrard and Franklin County Head Start Director Brooks Hogan said their facilities are operating as normal on Tuesday (October 8).

They were both closed Monday (October 7).

A press release on the Ninth District Opportunity website stated that the government shutdown was the cause for the Head Start facilities throughout the Ninth District to be closed.
