Stephens Co. Senior Center Recognizes Volunteers

March 29, 2013

The Stephens County Senior Center recognizes its volunteers.

The Senior Center held a volunteer appreciation luncheon Thursday at its facility.

Stephens County Senior Center Director Lisa Thomas said it is something the Senior Center does every year to recognize the many people who help make sure the programs at the center can take place.

Thomas said the Senior Center could not do it without the help of those volunteers.

“We have different organizations that come down and take blood pressures for us, as well as deliver Meals on Wheels” said Thomas. “We have high school students that come down and clean and do various activities. It is just a variety of things they (our volunteers) do for us. There is now way we could do it without them.”

The Senior Center gave each of the volunteers a Certificate of Appreciation during the luncheon.
