Stephens Co. Schools Release Info on Pre-K, New Student Registration

The Stephens County school system said that beginning today, all new students or students transferring between elementary schools within Stephens County need to use the new Central Registration Office.

The new Central Registration office is located at Stephens County Middle School.

Registration can be completed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

New students need to bring the following documents with them to register:

  • Certified copy of birth certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Immunization on GA Form 3231
  • Proof of residency, such as a utility bill

Meanwhile, the school system said all students transferring within the county only need to provide Proof of Residency.

Meanwhile, Pre-K registration also starts today in the Stephens County School System.

Pre-K registration can be completed at the new Central Registration office located at Stephens County Middle School between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A child must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2015 to register for Pre-K.

The following documents are needed to complete registration:

  • Immunization on GA Form 3231
  • Proof of residency, such as a utility bill

Pre-K classes are determined by lottery and notifications will be made around April 15.

The school system said children registering in district will be given priority placement over out of district children.
