The Stephens County School System is searching for a new finance director.

According to Stephens County School Superintendent Sherrie Whiten, the Board of Education has accepted the resignation of Finance Director Annah Dodge, effective immediately.

Whiten said the Board of Education unanimously accepted the resignation at a called meeting that was held Thursday morning. Due to what appears to be an error with e-mail, media did not receive notification of the called meeting.

No reason was provided for the resignation, according to Whiten.

Whiten said that the search is underway to fill that position.

Dodge had served as the Finance Director for the Stephens County School System since July 2007.
